Mrs Thomas - our old headteacher The school has a very attractive old Victorian main school building which houses the Reception and Year2 classrooms, Hall, Kitchen and Library/ ICT Suite. More recent portacabins house Year1 and Key Stage 2 classrooms. There is a small classroom for music and group learning which can be found in the back playground. The old school house contains the office, the staff room, the pottery and the stock room.
Assemblies are held in the school hall, which is in the main school building. The hall is also used for P.E. and lunches. We have some good climbing apparatus. An After School Club called PAWS, Play At Wrington, meets every day. You can find out more from the school office. Our PTA support the school with additional funding for all sorts of extras. A few years ago they renovated the old kitchen for use by groups of children who cook use to with parent volunteers. A couple of years ago a building project provided a purpose designed outdoor activity and play area for the youngest children. It includes gardens, shelter, activity areas, sand and ride on toys. The school has a huge field which many children say is the thing they value most about their surroundings, particularly in the summer months when it is used for play, picnic lunches, games, science, art and environmental sessions. One day soon we hope a new school will be built on it, but there will still be lots of space.
